Paradigm-medical
“Paradigm held a special shareholders meeting on December 18, 2009 at its new facility. The purpose of the meeting was to present the results of the shareholders proxy votes on two proposals presented and supported by the Paradigm Board of Directors. The first proposal was to change the par value from .001/share to .0001/share. Shareholders approved this proposal. The second was to increase the authorized shares from 1.4 Billion shares to 28 Billion shares. This proposal was also approved by the shareholders. The shareholders approval will allow Paradigm to move ahead with its plans to secure additional funding to allow it to take full advantage of its new growth opportunities.”

The P45 Ultrasound BioMicroscope® Workstation provides the highest ultrasound resolution for imaging

Four Device Applications In One Workstation

  • 50 MHz anterior segment imaging can be utilized for glaucoma management, anterior segment tumor detection, pre / post-op corneal evaluations.
  • 10 MHz B-Scan retinal imaging gives you 40 and 60-degree scan angle to ensure complete examination of the orbit and globe.
  • 10 MHz A-Scan takes up to five measurements per eye and performs IOL calculation automatically.
  • 8 MHz Diagnostic A-Scan allows careful and systematic analysis of both globe and orbital to identify different types of tissue such as tumors and inflammation.

VHF Ultrasound Scanner Provides a Microscopic Digital Image with Very High Resolution

The 50 MHz transducer gives unmatched clarity to the anatomy and pathology within the anterior segment including the cornea, iris, sclera, and ciliary body.

Superior B-Scan Capabilities

The B-Scan 10 MHz probe captures images in 40 and 60 degrees to ensure thorough examination of the globe and orbit. The B-Scan, in the Quad Mode feature, allows the end user the capability of comparing and viewing past examinations with a real-time exam. The B-Scan also incorporates an A-Scan vector display.

A-Scan Safety Features

The A-Scan uses a 10 MHz solid tip probe that incorporates a fixation light for easy alignment and precise axial length measurement. An audible tone confirms corneal contact with the probe. The device takes the average axial length of up to five measurements per eye. IOL calculations include SRK II, Holladay, SRK/T, and Binkhorst.

Diagnostic A-Scan Capabilities

Diagnostic A-Scans are utilized whenever a complete, or partial, opacification of the media prevents an adequate clinical examination of either the anterior or posterior segments. The 8 MHz Diagnostic A-Scan mode incorporates special signal processing for effective tissue differentiation.

User Friendly Operation

The P45 uses icon-based, user friendly, proprietary software for faster and more accurate examinations. On-screen icons, prompts, and help screens assist the operator in using the system. You can observe intraocular anatomy and pathology in detail as well as compare current patient data with past examinations. UBM Plus images are stored on the hard drive and can be archived on standard floppy disks or a Zip drive (provided). Additional superior features include dual calipers, complete on-screen annotation, pre/post processing capabilities, as well as zoom and pan features for optimal positioning for viewing suspicious areas.
